Hi Ceedee, Are the skins your work or just screenshots of others in your game? Because forums are only concerned with the rerelease of the models & paint without the creators permission, if you have made the skins then feel free to release them, if not can you post the links to these great skins in the links section.

Sorry yes it does seem complicated.... it because it is.
Here is what i do (rightly or wrongly depending on your point of view)
I get a truck, either a 3ds max model or a haulin mod or basically any source i can find to save me making one from scratch which takes months.
in most cases the truck doesnt suit me or doesnt work correctly so i fix it / change it to suit me and what i like. this usually includes remapping the UV's which are usually not to good.
when im happy with the truck i find a trailer using the same method above.
then i reskin them both in a way i like.
the screenshots you see are the finished item.
problem is the skins i make wont work on the trucks / trailers that are for download because i have modified them and remapped them.
so i cant actually release anything because if i do release the skins then i must also include the modified trucks and trailers which will cause uproar as it always does in this game.
i have modded for many games and havent seen this attitude before and in other games most modders consider having there work rejigged a compliment as long as credited in the mods readme.
so its a catch-22.
yes i would gladly release what i come up with ( giving credits where due) as with other games because this method encourages sharing and makes the scene richer however this game encourages a somewhat scroogelike manner amongst its modders which i believe is detrimental and results in less mods for what is a fun game.
hope this rant clarifies things a little.

Yes a bit of a dilemma, what you need to do is send a PM or email to the people who made the original model which you have based your modifications on, ask their permission to release the modified work with credit given in the read me to them & at the same time also give them the option to post your work on their site (if they have one) This got out of hand a while back especially among the Polish & Russian sites hosting work without even asking the creators if this was OK, some of these sites even made claims to the work as their own which p****d of a lot of the mods, hence the over zealous restrictions by some of them. You will find that most like myself are more than willing to allow our work to be used as long as we are asked 1st & credited for our contribution to the finalised product. Forgot to mention the B&Q Very nice, like it a lot.

Thanks and yes I agree with you however therein lies my dilemma
For example I dont actually know who made the Daf above. I have no readme, also i have added pieces from maybe 4 or 5 different sources to it plus the same again for the trailer.
Im just not prepared to ask for permissions for these things as to be honest the only people who benefit from all this is other people if i released it. Im using already lol.
I think the modding scene within this game needs a kick up the arse. Do it like most other games do. Allow your work to be used for the good of the community without restriction as long as proper credits are given.
Then the whole scene benefits and modding becomes easier. If for some reason you wish to keep your work private then dont release the d**n thing lol.
This is not aimed at you it is aimed at all modders on all games.
Anyway I think it is too late now for that in this game as too many modders have a bug up their arse about it.
The best bit i find is that i recognise the same ripped of parts in most released mods. They are all sourced from a few 3ds max models and rehashed over and over. This is why you see the same weirdly modelled headlights on most trucks cos they work well in max renders not in this game.
But what can you do.....
Meanwhile Im on to my next truck, an MB actros i think.....

Nice work again, like the buses as AI, Just one thing though do the double deckers clear the bridges? As this was tried in PTTM & caused a few problems as the doubles kept getting stuck.

if you look at the 7th shot there is a truck just behind the decker they are same hieght (ignoring the perspective) so if trucks dont get stuck then neither do the buses
