If you have the problem of the hood showing pink on the internal view (1) when making your own skins. This is how to fix it.
Pink Hoods The Solution
The engine cover you see from inside the truck is not the same as the external view. Therefore the files to edit are stored in the interior file.
1. Open interior folder and open the def file. Adjust the line indicated by >>> <<< so instead of material20:"r_cover: p379.mat" the line reads:-
material20:"r_cover: p379r.mat"
model:"p379_int.psm" material0:"basic: int_basic.mat" material1:"brake: brake.mat" material2:"cc: int_basic.mat" material3:"d: redf.mat" material4:"dl: greenf.mat" material5:"dr: greenf.mat" material6:"fabric: int_fabric.mat" material7:"fuel: fuel.mat" material8:"glass: int_glass.mat" material9:"h_brake: int_basic.mat" material10:"h_fuel: int_basic.mat" material11:"h_mph: int_basic.mat" material12:"h_rpm: int_basic.mat" material13:"hcp: int_basic.mat" material14:"l_cover: p379.mat" material15:"mirrors: p379.mat" material16:"mph: mph.mat" material17:"n_glass: glass.mat" material18:"n_shield: parts.mat" material19:"plastic: int_plastic.mat" >>> material20:"r_cover: p379.mat" <<< material21:"rpm: rpm.mat" material22:"s_bumper: parts.mat" material23:"sw: sw.mat" material24:"visor: parts.mat" material25:"wip0: int_basic.mat" material26:"wip1: int_basic.mat
You will need to copy and paste your existing P379.mat/P379.tobj/P379.dds files and rename them to:-
P379r.Mat/P379r.tobj/P379r.dds.
N.B. You need to have all your truck skin files in the share folder.
